    When did you become an Avon Representative?

    I first became a Certified Beauty Counselor in 1983 before starting my Avon business 6 years later as a Franchise Dealer. Before that I was an accounting clerk but since my salary was not enough I was thinking of another source of income. So when my friend recruited me to join Avon, I seized the opportunity.

    What encouraged you to join Avon?

    One reason was that I was attracted to the discount that they offered to give me if I join Avon. When I started to show my brochures to my officemates and they started placing their orders for their beauty product needs, I saw the earning opportunities that Avon offers. I also loved the people in Avon – my manager, the staff – and the environment that fosters personal growth and learning. Later on, when my earnings grew and I started to achieve my dreams and goals I left my accounting job and focused my time and energy to build my network and my sales.

    What is your most memorable moment in Avon?

    My most memorable moment in Avon was when I became a GMAC member in 2005. I won’t forget the recognition they gave me, as well as my first US trip as incentive for being a General Manager’s Advisory Council (GMAC) member.

    How different is your life now, before and after joining Avon?

    Before joining Avon, I used to live in a small house with my parents, and I always needed money to augment my budget. I ended up borrowing money because our income was really very small then. I had a 9 to 6 job then and I was really having a hard time balancing family life and my work.

    After joining Avon, things have improved especially with my finances. I can now buy the things that I need and want for myself and my family. I now live comfortably in a house that I can call our own. I have gone to different countries and places with my family which I used to only dream before, own cars and acquired different investment portfolios for securing our future. Most of all, the trainings and motivations that Avon gave me helped develop my personality from being a shy person to a confident one now. I feel very fulfilled and happy when I train and inspire those under me.

    What’s the best thing about being an Avon Representative?

    The best thing about being an Avon Representative is being able to earn while empowering other women at the same time. This means helping them earn for their families, achieve their dreams regardless of their status in life, educational background or age. They can become the person they want to be through the unlimited earnings and different trainings offered by Avon. Through Avon, I have the opportunity to influence the lives of my down lines, even in my own small way of striving to teach and inspire them. Like me, my Franchise Dealers and Sales Leaders are now achieving their personal and their families’ dreams.
