    Avon’s Newest Initiative Hopes To Restore Beauty In Our Forests

    "Beauty for a Purpose" – Avon has remained true to this statement with every product and effort made through their 130 years in the industry. This time, the no. 1 direct selling company broadens its meaning with their newest fundraising initiative.

    From the catalogues to the products themselves, Avon is conscious of its role as a consumer of paper and other related products that contribute to the increasing peril of deforestation. In line with this, Avon assures that reforestation is at the heart for their efforts in corporate social responsibility (CSR).

    As part of their commitment to put an end to deforestation, the company currently has three main efforts—Avon Paper Promise, Avon Palm Oil Promise, and the newest addition, Healthy Forests, Beautiful World.

    The fundraising initiative focuses on the reforestation in some of the world’s most endangered habitats, primarily through the sale of special, environmentally conscious products that are sold in over 50 countries by Avon’s hardworking and inspiring Sales Representatives.

    Globally, proceeds are donated to The Nature Conservancy (TNC) for the Atlantic Forest in Brazil and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), which already supports reforestation efforts in the Indonesian islands of Borneo, Sumatra, Java, and Lombok.

    Avon Philippines is proud to be on board in this movement with the launch of the Healthy Forests, Beautiful World Official Reusable Shopping Bag. For only P40, customers can do their part in supporting local environmental initiatives through Avon Philippines’ take on Healthy Forests, Beautiful World. The reusable shopping bags will be available in all Avon branches or through the sales representatives starting October 1, 2017.
